The 1889 Fundamental Principles of Seventh-day Adventists are the foundational principles of Bible truth that God gave to His servants to proclaim to the world. Ellen White wrote, “That which the Holy Spirit testified to as truth after the passing of the time, [1844] in our great disappointment, is the solid foundation of truth. Pillars of truth were revealed, and we accepted the foundation principles that have made us what we are—Seventh-day Adventists, keeping the commandments of God and having the faith of Jesus.” (Letter 326, 1905, par. 3) Though discarded and abandoned, God has declared these fundamental principles are to be preserved—”But the waymarks which have made us what we are are to be preserved, and they will be preserved, as God has signified through His Word and the testimony of His Spirit. From the great system of truth as it has been presented by God’s messengers, not a pin is to be removed.” (Ellen White, Letter 232, 1903, par. 42)

This Fundamental Principles Book aims to restore the understanding of Bible truth that defined the original Seventh-day Adventist faith and practice by restoring to God’s people a comprehensive resource illustrating how Ellen White and the Early Adventists understood and practiced these fundamental principles. Every fundamental principle is broken up into its corresponding points, and each point has been carefully researched with supporting Bible verses and explanatory statements from Ellen White and the Early Adventists. This book, spanning 640 pages, contains thousands of Bible verses and statements and is an amazing resource for anyone wanting to understand the principles of Bible truth that God had given to His people.
